Deets: Zamioculcas Zamiifolia also known as the ZZ Plant adds to any interior space with its unique growth pattern. Its low water requirements and drought tolerance handle well in many environments. (dry and humid)The drought-tolerant ZZ plant is a wonderful addition to low-light situations in homes and offices, but all parts of this plant are poisonous. Keep it away from children and pets.

Name(s): Zamioculcas Zamiifolia // Common names: ZZ Plant, Zee Zee Plant, ZiZi Plant, Zanzibar Gem, Steel Plant

Light: ZZ plants can withstand low-light spaces and can adapt to conditions from full to partial shade, although they do best when grown in bright indirect light. An east-facing window that gets only morning light or a north-facing window are good options for ZZ plants. Too much sunlight can create brown spots on your plant’s leaves.

Water: Monthly is suggested. Just check the soil before watering. A little neglect here or there is ok, but it's best to have a regular watering schedule, or the plant will go dormant.

Grower: Beginners, Advanced, Expert; all types.

Pets: Yes. Toxic to cats and dogs

Repotting: Repot your ZZ plant when you see signs that it’s root-bound, such as browning leaves, roots growing out of the drainage hole in the bottom of the pot, and soil that drains and dries out very quickly (a sign that the plant is too root-bound for water to penetrate). Carefully remove the plant from the pot, loosen the root ball with your fingers, prune back any black or rotten roots, then replant with fresh potting soil in a container one size larger than the one your plant outgrew.
